Something to Cheer us all up
Published on November 4, 2004 By philomedy In Politics
Alright so Bush won the election. Fine. All we can do is hope that just like he failed to explode the world in his first four years in office, he will fail to do so in his second four. By the way, that last sentence was a joke, just to clarify for those of you who may feel compelled to ask if I honestly believe that George Bush wants to blow up the planet. No. I don't. I think that he is just evolved enough to adhere to the basic biologic tendency towards self-preservation. He just likes taking over things. Personally, I would suggest he discover video games.

Anyways, here is something that has made me smile every night for about a week now.

DISCLAIMER: IF YOU LIKE THE GEORGE W. BUSH, OR ANY PART OF THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION, THEN IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM SHOULD YOU CHECK OUT THE LINK. IT WILL JUST UPSET YOU. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Cute & well-done. Screed, but well-done screed.

And so encapsulates the reasons Kerry lost. Perfect.

Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm sure you feel better now.

You arrogant asshole.

Cheers,

Why would it upset us? Bush won! And as Daiwa noted, it shows part of the reason why he did.

Democrats, you will catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Some humility, modesty, and reason would improve your chances in 2008.

And to think, we control their government. Whos the asshole now?

Ok honestly: I write the disclaimer. I put it in caps. I tell you not to watch it if you like Bush. What do you do? You watch it and come here and attack me. Don't blatantly disregard the caps lock and then come here and tell me that you don't like it. I know you don't like it. That's why the disclaimer was there.

Also, the meaning of the word "screed" escapes me, which is concerning since I'm an English major, so if you could tell me what it means I'd appreciate it. Also, I would appreciate it if you did not lump me in with the democratic party, since i have no particular affiliation other than I didn't want bush to win.

And the asshole now is Bush. I thought the song made that clear.

You obviously are not a student of American History. But that is typical of the reaction of the reactionary left. Dont argue the facts, just brand them with inflamatory rhetoric.

Thanks for the clarification of screed. I think shit is a far better sounding word, though.

Guy...Typical misguided and uninformed as usual....sad really!
on Dec 02, 2004
Misguided and uninformed, aren't you making references to the Nazi party existing in the USA?

Maybe it is YOU who is the moron?
on Dec 02, 2004
Actually xr....I was using it as an example of what happens when one group claims to rule another. Maybe it's YOU who's the moron?
I always give guy a hassle about stuff...It's what we do. I hassle him...He hassles me. Get a grip! And while your at it, post an actual article! Or are you one of those people who aren't creative enough to think of anything to write about and just comment in others blogs?

What sort of honey did conservatives use? What sort of humility, modesty and reason did they show?

The is a hell of alot of revisionist history going on here since the election. Anne Coulter refered to Democrats as the spawn of Satan in the article that got her fired from USA Today before she ever began. The right filled the airwaves with lies, deceit and fear. Which is that, modesty or reason?

No, it was a *direct* response to the extreme left's "spewing" of lies and deceit
Please don't start on this again. There is enough crap on *both* sides to go around.

So far, two people have gotten the point...

I didn't put this up to piss any one off or to start any arguments. That's why I haven't gotten involved in the bickering. Look, its a good song, it's well used with the images, it's a fine audio-visual accomplishment. Its well done, its funny, thats it.[
