I saw a quote a little while back, and while I cannot remember where I saw it, and so cannot name my source, the quote has stuck with me. It really doesn't need any explanation, so i'll just hit y'all with it here:

Attention Muslims: Watch out...Your religion is being hijacked by dangerous extremists.
Attention Christians: Ditto.

Thank you for speaking of ALL the Muslims I know that have stood up!
When will the generalisations stop?

Well "if" they have no one over here has heard it! And I have not as of yet heard "any" denounce the extemeists. So until I do, yes I will generalize the lot.

note to all muslims throughout the world: pronouncements DO NOT become official until the current prophet, drmiler (may peace be upon him), approves them.

You know what kb? YOU can kiss my butt! Show me "one" that has denounced them publicly! And from a repudible source. Saying that you heard one is not a repudible source. Some form of publication or news program will suffice. Show me that and I'll apologize. Other than that my statements stand.

aren't you one of the leaders of the 'any and all sources were equally 'repudible'' brigade? or is that only when it's your source.

in any event, google the words 'muslim condemn' and you'll find more evidence of stuff that actually exists independently of your awareness.

This week, 120 imams condemned the London bombings and said that Muslims must work with authorities to help arrest terrorists.

"Muslims in this country have to be proactive beyond the stage of condemnation," Elmasry said.

'Suicide Bombings and terrorism against all Islamic beliefs and practice' say Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, the oldest established Islamic Community in the UK, today expressed its total condemnation of the suicide bombers who committed the atrocities of July 7.

Reacting to the news that the instigators of the attacks last Thursday travelled to London with the intention to cause destruction and death in the heart of the capital, Rafiq Hayat, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK said: “Terrorism of any kind is against all teachings of Islam and the despicable act of suicide bombing is abhorrent and has no place in our faith. Islam places the sanctity and protection of human life at the centre of all moral values in society. Those who seek to kill and maim others through such cowardice acts have committed a crime against humanity.”

Appealing for calm, Mr Hayat added: “There is an inherent danger that extreme elements in society will seek to take advantage of this tragedy. It is therefore vital that not only should we all come together to condemn these acts, but we commit ourselves irrespective of religion, creed or background, to eradicating all evil practices and crimes of hate from Britain. Extremism of any kind against anyone has no place in a civilised society.”

Alight then I apologize for my generalizations of "all" muslims. These should be in "our" papers as well, but they aren't. Why not? But as far as kb goes, he can stuff this whole mess where the sun don't shine! His own posterior region.

"Radical clerics who preach violence are not out of touch with mainstream Muslim views, according to nearly half of British Muslims questioned in a poll."

From the same article linked to above:

"Almost all - 91% - were against the bombings of July 7, but 2% agreed with what the suicide bombers did."

"Around 88% thought there was no justification in the Koran for the bombings, but 5% thought there was."
